About us

Headline Alpacas, established in 2002, is on the Darling Downs, west of the Great Dividing Range  at East Greenmount, 30 minutes drive south of Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia.

Our herd of friendly huacaya alpacas graze in paddocks of Queensland Blue Grass shaded by Mountain Coolibah and Silver Leafed Ironbark.

We are members of the Australian Alpaca Association (AAA). The AAA Web site provides comprehensive information about alpacas in Australia.

We are also active members of Cambooya Landcare.

Our Aims

  • Breed and manage healthy, robust huacaya alpacas suitable for our variable climate,
  • Produce the beautiful natural colour range of alpaca fleece - predominantly grey and black,
  • Manage the land sustainably into the future and
  • Maintain the diversity of native flora and fauna.
